Processing incidents and their consequences more efficiently: Stadtwerke Neuss choose ebblo’s LIO-IDS Workflow Manager
Stadtwerke Neuss has chosen ebblo’s LIO-IDS Workflow Manager. The software solution helps dispatchers at the control centre to process operational procedures and recurring event workflows in a structured and traceable way. At the same time, relevant information is routed efficiently, promptly and purposefully to the teams responsible for further action. Key factors in the decision included the ability to tailor the solution precisely to operational requirements and its seamless integration into the existing ebblo control system.

Defined workflows for greater routine and efficiency during incidents
The Workflow Manager provides control centre dispatchers with a tool that enables events, actions and consequences to be clearly defined in advance and then assigned automatically to operational processes and workflows. When an event occurs, these predefined workflows provide clear guidance and lead users through the process step by step.
The Workflow Manager enables faster response and processing times, standardised decision templates and complete documentation. Predefined forms with action plans and checklists help teams complete tasks systematically, pass on information to the right recipients and record the actions taken in a traceable manner. In addition to individual reports on specific events, daily reports can be compiled for particular target groups, such as operations management or other operational departments.
Greater transparency and reduced workload in day-to-day operations
Since introducing the Workflow Manager, Stadtwerke Neuss has benefited from greater process reliability, increased transparency and more efficient workflows. Recurring processes are standardised and partially automated, noticeably reducing the workload for control centre staff and service operations management.
Each processing step remains traceable at all times, responsibilities can be clearly defined, and information is available to the right people at the right time. Another advantage is the close integration with the existing ebblo control system. This allows the solution to fit seamlessly into the control centre’s daily workflows and be used without switching between systems or media.
Proven in day-to-day control centre operations
It was particularly important to Stadtwerke Neuss that the solution be aligned with users’ actual requirements and that the company be able to develop it further independently. Specific use cases were therefore identified, structured and developed jointly at an early stage.
Feedback from the control centre has been correspondingly positive. Users particularly praise the clear layout of the forms, the unambiguous presentation of mandatory fields and the helpful prompts provided during processing. They also value the system’s ability to flag missing information, helping ensure that each case is processed in full.
Marco von Wirth, Head of Transport Operations and Deputy Head of Local Transport at Stadtwerke Neuss, summarises the experience:
“The LIO-IDS Workflow Manager enables us to handle operational workflows much more efficiently, systematically and transparently. Our employees are guided through the processes step by step, ensuring consistent workflows and easing the control centre’s workload in day-to-day operations. The integration into the existing ebblo control system is particularly valuable to us, as it means we can work without additional systems. I also greatly appreciate the individually configurable, automatically generated and distributed daily reports, which allow me to gain an efficient overview of the previous day’s operations as soon as I start my shift.”
