Central data management with LIO-Data
All control system components benefit from central data supply, management and distribution in the LIO-Data data management system. This means that the data for the control system with all components involved only needs to be entered in one place. This results in consistent supply, greater operational flexibility and reduced workload.
Accurate data supply is one of the most important prerequisites for the smooth operation of a control system. LIO-Data is a powerful tool for recording and processing all ITCS data, including for control centre, vehicle, dynamic passenger information and business intelligence components, as well as for integrating systems from other suppliers.
These are the basic functions of data management:
- Central interface for importing and exporting planned data (e.g. data transfer from planning systems) and data transfer to third-party systems
- Central management of data for control system operation
- Support of operational processes with precise target specifications (e.g. passenger information, traffic light preemption, path dispatch and transfer protection)
- Data supply and provision of data for all system components
Depot data management with LIO-DDM
LIO-DDM is an application for depot data management that enables data distribution between the central database and the target devices in the vehicles. The data to be distributed includes timetables, statistics, logs and device messages. Each depot has a number of access points that enable wireless data exchange between depot servers and vehicles.
The main functions of LIO-DDM are:
- Monitoring distribution status and vehicle presence (overview of loaded software or data versions)
- Defining distribution groups and distribution jobs
- Managing physical and logical depots
- User management
- Manual loading of files
- Automatic download of specific data types (e.g. data supply) to specified supply groups
- Deleting units
- Setting system parameters
