ebblo is a project partner of MILA.mobility for the integration of autonomous mobility into public transport
With the official project launch in Berlin, MILA.mobility has entered the joint development phase. As a project partner, ebblo is contributing its many years of experience in control systems and autonomous mobility to the nationwide research and development project and supporting the development of open standards for integrating autonomous vehicles into public transport.
Advancing autonomous mobility in public transport
MILA.mobility is developing an open, manufacturer-independent platform designed to simplify the integration of autonomous vehicles into existing public transport systems. The aim is to bring autonomous mobility services safely and economically into regular operation.
Together with Leipziger Verkehrsbetriebe (LVB), the consortium lead, and other partners from public transport operators, industry, academia and associations, ebblo is working to advance the integration of autonomous mobility services into public transport. The Association of German Transport Companies (VDV) is supporting the transfer of the project results to the sector and the development of corresponding standards.
MILA.mobility: facts and figures
MILA stands for “Middleware Integration of control Centre and Dispatch Systems for Autonomous Mobility”. The project brings together 30 partners from public transport operators, industry, academia and associations. The German Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space is funding MILA.mobility with approximately €33.8 million. The total project volume is approximately €57 million. The project will run for 44 months and end on 31 March 2030.
