Four months of ebblo – setting the rhythm for mobility
On 16 February 2026, we turned a new page: with ebblo, we launched a brand that focuses entirely on what has driven us for decades – Intermodal Transport Control Systems (ITCS) for public transport.
The rebranding was more than just a new name or a fresh new look. It was a deliberate step to clearly consolidate our expertise and position our role as a technology partner for transport providers even more precisely. As we reflect on the last four months, we are encouraged by how this shift is already clarifying our role and reinforcing trust with our customers.
With the new brand, we are building on our strong commitment to our customers: listening even more closely, taking their challenges seriously, and being an even more reliable partner at every stage. Customer loyalty is not just a principle – it is the result of how we work every day.
The ebblo brand
ebblo was created to meet the growing demands placed on public transport. Transport providers are faced with increasing complexity, limited resources, and higher expectations regarding reliability, sustainability, and accessibility. We support them in this endeavour with our expertise and our modern, future-proof ITCS solutions.
The name ebblo is inspired by “ebb and flow” and the natural rhythm of mobility, “the pulse of the city”. This is characterised by peak times and quieter periods, by stable processes and sudden events, by constant change and adaptation.
We develop technologies designed for this rhythm – with open interfaces, cloud-based architecture, flexibility and adaptability. Our ITCS solutions combine operations management, passenger information, on-board systems, mobility assistance, and business intelligence as well as franchise and electric bus management with new technologies such as AI and V2X.
Our vision is clear: we want to make public transport smarter, more sustainable, and more accessible. In this way, it should become the first choice for everyone.
Exciting first four months
Our first four months as ebblo have been characterised by a fast pace, refreshing clarity and significant progress. Over this period, we have achieved a number of meaningful milestones:
- A strong new brand identity
With a fresh visual identity, new colours, and clear messaging, ebblo is now positioned as an independent ITCS brand – modern, focused, and full of new energy. Our offices in Neuhausen (Switzerland), Berlin and Bad Honnef (Germany), Loughton (UK), and Wrocław (Poland) have also been given a new look. - Debut as ebblo at IT-TRANS
At IT-TRANS in Karlsruhe in March 2026, we unveiled the new brand to a wide audience of industry professionals for the first time. A particular highlight was the formalisation of our partnership with Stadler Signalling in the field of passenger information. Since IT-TRANS, we have been present at many other industry events, which has resulted in continuous growth in our brand’s visibility. - International success in Australia
Together with our partner Trapeze Group ANZ, we secured a contract with Transport for New South Wales which was announced in April Trapeze Group selected by Transport for NSW to deliver the Opal Next Generation Bus Solution – ebblo. This involves a comprehensive ITCS solution for around 5,000 buses in the Greater Sydney area, designed to provide more precise operational control and improved real-time passenger information. This success is a strong testament to the performance and international relevance of our ITCS solutions. - Focus on future technologies
We continued to make targeted investments in artificial intelligence focusing on customer value – this applies to both our products and our internal processes. At the same time, we are consistently aligning our ITCS solutions with future technologies such as V2X, cloud-based architectures, and open standards. In this way, we are laying the foundations for greater efficiency, well-informed decisions and high operational precision. - Customer Conference “Impuls Mobilitätsforum”
Following our rebranding as ebblo, the former “Trapeze Forum” – our established customer conference for the DACH region – is also getting a new look and will now be known as the “Impuls Mobilitätsforum”.We are organising the event together with our Modaxo sister company Nexfeld, which offers solutions for planning and scheduling. This year’s Impuls Mobilitätsforum will take place from 23 to 25 June in Stuttgart – hosted by our valued customer Stuttgarter Straßenbahnen (SSB).
ebblo looks forward to the future
The rebrand and the first four months is just the beginning of the journey. We have an exciting future ahead of us! We are currently working with great enthusiasm on developing new products and pioneering projects. We are forging new connections and building strong partnerships for future collaboration.
Reliability is our foundation; the joy of innovation is our driving force. Building on our decades of experience, we will continue to work on translating global trends into tailor-made local solutions for transport companies.
We feel very much at home with our new, fresh brand, which reflects our direction clearly, and we look forward to continuing our growth in the market as ebblo!
We would like to take this opportunity to thank our long-standing customers for their trust, their commitment and the pleasure of working with them. We also look forward to welcoming new customers to the “ebblo family”.
