STP’s Smart Bus Fleet: ITS-Powered Urban Mobility in Mauritania, Case Study

STP selected Trapeze Africa to implement the Trapeze LIO Intelligent Transport System (ITS) in 2024. The deployment included the installation of the non proprietary PC7108 on board units in STP’s new bus fleet of 162 vehicles. These modern buses are fitted with amplifiers and speakers to support real time communication to both the driver and passengers, thus enhancing driver and commuter safety. The ITxPT compliant on board integration, built on the leading open standard for public transport technology, enables seamless connectivity with pre fitted passenger counters and information displays.
